Amir Mattar Valente

Amir Mattar Valente is Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Transport Engineering and Land Management PGTG at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, researcher of Technological Development, CNPq level 2.

He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (1979), a Master’s degree in Transport Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1983) and a PhD in Production Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (1994).

Acts as a Transport Engineer with LabTrans on projects in collaboration with ANTT, the Ministry of Transport, DNIT, ANTAQ, SNP/MInfra and SAC/MInfra.

As a researcher, he is the author of two books, several articles and scientific papers, has five patent registrations with the INPI and is a member of the technical staff of Revista da ANTT, member of the editorial board of Revista Gestão Industrial (online) and Revista Brasileira de Transportes (FGV), acts as a reviewer in the journals Revista Transporte Y Territorio, Revista Transportes, Revista Brasileira de Gestão Urbana and TRB – Transportation Research Board, in the areas of Transport Engineering and Logistics.
